A note on editing, and how many images are included in each package:

With all of my packages, you get ALL lightly edited images. With a 1 hr session this typically looks like about 200 photos edited, with the longer sessions, this means 300 or more. Please note, these ARE edited - I am not a "shoot and drop on usb" photographer.

Here is my editing process:
1. Shoot
2.Edit in Lightroom (edited for exposure, levels, cropping, white balance etc)
3.Then images are all run through a skin softening program.
4. Make copies of all images in b&w as well.
If, there are additional corrections after this, you can pick your top 20 images (1hr sessions) or 30 images (2+hr sessions) with additional corrections (photoshop).

Gold + Maternity 1hr = 599+289=888 (-50 bundle discount) = $838+gst. (100 deposit, 300 due at maternity session, balance due on newborn session day)

Silver +Maternity 1hr = 499+289=788(-50 bundle discount) = $738+gst. (100 deposit, 250 due at maternity session, balance due on newborn session day)

Bronze +Maternity 1hr = 289+289-578(-50bundle discount) = $528+gst (100 deposit, 200 due at maternity session, balance due on newborn session day)

Bronze, a lifestyle session in your home using your space instead of mobile studio. Includes one basket type setup using your own space as a backdrop. All packages can be bundled with maternity sessions.

Taking as much time as your baby needs, creating custom creative newborn portraits using a combination of my full library of props, plus items from your home and life as well. Want to put your baby on a box of donuts? in a fireman's hat? On an airplane? In a kitchen pot? In a hammock or swing or froggy pose? This is the package for you!

2-3.5 hrs session time, Shot from the comfort of your own home, via mobile studio.
Includes 300 images lightly edited, high resolution, in colour & black & white, on USB.
USB is mailed to you within 2-3 weeks of shoot. Includes an additional 30 a la carte photoshop edits, which can be used for everything from retouching/photoshopping mom & dad, to compositing baby into a digital newborn backdrop.

You can preselect your props here, my goal is 5 "looks"/sets + family.

What does 5 "looks" mean? Here is an example of how a Full Mobile studio would flow:

Family session: either shoot on backdrop, or using your bedroom or living room as a set (30-45 min)
​
one parent + baby
other parent + baby
both parents + baby
both parents + baby + sibling(s) (all children)
baby + sibling(s)
one parent + all children
other parent + all children

*family can relax, rest of session is just baby*
Remaining session, normally takes up to 1.5hrs, but extra time is blocked off in case needed. (Custom shots like a baby in a kitchen pot, froggy pose, etc typically take more than 1.5hrs).

basket setup 1 - usually comprised of basket, a stuffer blanket, flokati (rug) underneath the basket, wrap, and sometimes hats or headbands
​
basket/bed setup 2 - bed, basket or other baby holding prop. could be a bucket, airplane, swing, etc. Normally shot with a flokati (rug) underneath, plus a filler blanket colour + wrap
​
macro shots - often done during one of the basket shots , toes fingers, eyelashes etc
​
beanbag shot 1: this is where my portable backdrop comes in. It looks like baby is sleeping on a seamless backdrop, but really, this is where there is a beanbag, posers, positioners etc come into play. Beanbag is used for the squishy "bum up", "taco", and "froggy" poses. Here, we can add headbands, hats, props, letter blocks, etc.

beanbag shot 2: another variation. some couples use this as an opportunity for a composite shot setup. A composite shot is where I shoot your baby in the comfort of your home, then photoshop them into a digital backdrop. (sample below)

Over the past couple of years, I have shifted a little bit. When I first started photographing newborns, my goal was to photograph as many as I could each month. Now, I'm accepting fewer clients each month, and taking the time to create truly customized images - for examble, the baby in the kitchen session, or the baby police officer set. I would rather take 4 hours with one baby and create art, than rush and create 4 one hour sessions that feel rushed.

1hr session, in the comfort of your own home, in a lifestyle setting. This means instead of bringing props, outfits, posers & backdrop, I use your space to set the scene and feel. This session is perfect for older newborns, as they typically don't settle as well (they just want to be held!) Most clients use their bedroom, or living room as a backdrop, and we use natural light - often mom / dad in front of a window with light streaming in. This session does include one basket setup, and one wrap. Baby can also be naked in your arms - The primary focus of this session is the connection between you, your family & baby.

USB is mailed to you within 2-3 weeks of shoot. Shoot time is 1hr, firm.
